What To Expect

What To Expect

If you are considering retaining Biederstadt Law as your attorney, you can expect that we will take the time to speak with you and devise a legal strategy that best suits you as an individual and not merely a file number. We will be honest and upfront with our clients about the likelihood of success and potential costs that any particular legal strategy may entail. We will provide you with a vigorous and aggressive defense when necessary, but settle cases and reduce the costs associated with any legal matter whenever possible. Not only financial costs, but the anxiety, stress, turmoil and devastation that can come along with an extended and expensive legal battle.

At Biederstadt Law we do not accept all cases that come through our door. Upon conducting an initial consultation with you, we will determine if you are a good fit for our office and correspondingly, you will make the same assessment of our office. We will provide you with a quote for an initial retainer and prepare a retainer agreement for your execution, if we elect to take your case. Further, you will need to complete an client interview form in order to provide our office with all of your case specific information needed. Upon receiving a signed retainer agreement and completed client interview form, we will then open a client portal for you and issue you an invoice for payment. Thereafter, we will ask for you to complete a financial disclosure statement as required by the laws of Illinois and your local county court rules.

We have elected to utilize a case management system in order to provide our clients with access to information related to their case in line with the speed in which the world moves today. At your convenience, you will be allowed to access any information associated with your legal matter twenty-four (24) hours a day and on your own time within your client portal. You will be provided with one location where all of your orders, pleadings, discovery, notices and any information related to your case will be stored and accessible to you at any time you wish. You will be allowed to upload documents for your attorney to review, communicate with your attorney and review / pay an invoice, all in one location. The days of sorting through thousands of emails in your inbox or accidentally deleting an e-mail which had important information from your attorney are over, we are living in the information and technology age and the practice of law is falling drastically behind. That is why at Biederstadt Law we have found a program to keep our clients involved, increase our client’s access to information associated with their case and minimize our time (and your bill) in more efficiently handling your case and all the minor tasks that come along with the business of being a lawyer.

If you are currently in the process of interviewing attorney, I would first like to apologize for the difficult time that you are going through, but I look forward to hearing from you and wish you nothing but the absolute best.
